Receiving porcelain veneers requires three visits to our Chesapeake, VA dental office. Treatment planning is an important part of providing exceptional dental care to each of our patients, so we take the time to plan a personalized treatment that addresses all your dental needs.
During your visit, Dr. Cranham will determine if porcelain veneers are right for you. If porcelain veneers are right for you, Dr. Cranham will begin by applying a small amount of local anesthetic to ensure you are comfortable during your treatment. He will gently remove a small amount of enamel from the affected teeth to prepare them for impressions. Once the impressions are completed, we will send them to a local lab to be prepared. It will take approximately two to three weeks for your custom porcelain veneers to be created. If necessary, Dr. Cranham will provide temporary veneers to keep your teeth protected while you wait for your personalized porcelain veneers.
During your final visit, Dr. Cranham will replace your temporary veneers with your custom made porcelain veneers. Dr. Cranham will make any necessary adjustment to ensure your veneers fit comfortably and color matched to blend with your existing teeth.Once the veneers are adjusted, Dr. Cranham will bond the veneers to the teeth using a special light to fix your veneers into place.
Dr. Cranham encourages patients to follow aftercare instruction and schedule a follow-up visit to ensure the quality of their porcelain veneers. To schedule a consultation, contact our Chesapeake, VA dental office.
